8월 18일 발대식을 시작으로 6명의 아이빔(Eyebeam Art and Technology Center) 작가와 9명의 한국 작가들은 낙동강 상류의 내성천을 시작으로 안동과 칠곡 등을 거쳐서 낙동강 최하류인 부산의 을숙도까지 많은 지역으로 답사 여행을 했습니다. 이번 로드쇼는 도시화와 자연 보존이라는 이분법적인 구분으로는 이해하기 어려운 개발 프로젝트와 그것에 대하는 예술가의 자세에 대한 의문을 품고 시작했습니다. 로드쇼라는 이름이 말하듯 매일 밤 작가들의 발표와 세미나를 진행했고 모든 일정은 지역 주민과 환경 활동가들의 도움을 받았습니다. 때로는 사회적 쟁점이 되고 있는 장소를 방문하고 그 이유에 대해서 함께 고민했습니다. 로드쇼를 참여하며 우리가 나눴던 이야기들과 발견한 서로의 다른 시점들에 대해서 여러분과 나누고자 합니다. 그리고 이것이 새로운 가능성을 위한 제안이자 대화의 시작이기를 바랍니다.

6 Artists from Eyebeam Art and Technology Center and 9 South Korean artists travelled from Seoul to Busan following the Nakdong river, visiting sites such as Naesungchun. This roadshow started from questions about a development project that can not be described either as urbanization or natural preservation and artist’s role in dealing with such issues. Local activists and residents joined the journey from time to time and we visited several sites of complex social issues. We want to share some of our conversation from the roadshow and what we discovered as the differences in our perspective. We hope this is a proposition of new possibilities and beginning of conversation between the artists and the general public.
